Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Kigali, Rwanda

Check in at Kigali Serena Hotel. Receive a full briefing of your safari and enjoy the hotel’s amenities and cultural exhibits.

Day 2: Kigali City Tour and Transfer to Lake Kivu

Visit Kigali Genocide Memorial Museum and Hotel Des Mille Collines. Drive west to Lake Kivu through lush rolling hills, enjoying scenic views. Arrival at Lake Kivu Serena Hotel for relaxation and sundowner.

Day 3: Transfer to Virunga National Park

Drive to Goma, Congo, process border entry, and proceed to Mikeno Lodge, Virunga National Park. Enjoy lodge surroundings and wildlife.

Day 4: Mountain Gorilla Tracking in Virunga National Park

Drive to park offices for briefing and assignment of gorilla family. Trek in the forest and spend one hour observing gorillas in their natural habitat. Return to lodge for a relaxed evening.

Day 5: Return to Kigali and Departure

After breakfast, transfer to Goma and cross back to Rwanda, arriving in Kigali for lunch and airport transfer for departure flight. End of safari.
