Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, your safari guide will welcome you and transfer you to a lodge near Volcanoes National Park. En route, stop at a roadside restaurant and enjoy scenic views of Rwanda’s beautifully tilled hills. Arrive at your lodge in the evening, relax, and enjoy the mist-covered hills preparing you for your gorilla trek.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park

After early breakfast, head to the park offices with lunch boxes. Attend a briefing on gorilla trekking rules, then set off with the trekking team into the forest to find your assigned gorilla family. Trekking may take from 50 minutes to 3 hours. Spend approximately 1 hour observing and photographing the gorillas before returning to your lodge to relax and have lunch.

Day 3: Iby’iwacu Cultural Village Tour

Enjoy a relaxed morning and breakfast at your lodge. In the afternoon, visit Iby’iwacu Cultural Village. Interact with local people, learn about traditional music, dance, food preparation, and daily life. After this cultural immersion, transfer to Kigali city and check in at your hotel.

Day 4: Kigali City Tour and Departure
